Hi, I’m Linz. I work with high-achieving women who are done performing and ready to drop the mask.

You’ve been holding it all alone. Pushing through. Lost your spark. Getting on with it. But the exhaustion you’re carrying now goes bone deep. Your body is saying no in ways you can’t ignore anymore.

I’ve been there. I rebuilt my health and capacity after burnout and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) – a condition where full recovery in adults is rare.

As a body-led coach and guide, I help women shift survival patterns, reconnect to their body and create lasting change before exhaustion becomes crisis.

Somatic Renewal Coaching isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about returning – to your body, to your inner clarity and to the deep wisdom already within you.

Through presence and co-regulation, we create a partnership where your body leads the way. Together, we tune in – tracking sensations, emotions and impulses that reveal what’s true beneath the noise. As you reconnect with your body’s signals, you begin to rebuild trust in yourself, expanding your capacity for what’s possible.

This isn’t about achieving more. It’s about living more truthfully, aligned with who you already are.

In deeper work, I bring something more – the intuitive ability to see patterns and possibilities you may not yet be able to see yourself.

For clients drawn to it, creative expression can be woven in as a somatic tool using art, writing or making to access what words alone can’t reach.

  • Coaching is present and future-focused – we work with what’s alive in you now and move toward what’s possible.
  • A trauma-informed practice – we work at your pace, not mine. Nothing gets forced, rushed or pushed beyond what feels right for you.

  • An integrated approach – drawn from mindfulness, somatic practice, embodied psychotherapy, constellations, creative arts therapy and deep listening.
  • You are the expert and I am the guide – you already hold the answers within you. My role is to hold space, and over time, to see patterns, root causes and possibilities that may not yet be visible to you. Together we go deeper.

FAQs

How do I know if this is burnout?

Burnout is recognised by the WHO as an occupational syndrome resulting from chronic stress that hasn’t been successfully managed. The NHS describes it as a state of physical, mental and emotional exhaustion that doesn’t resolve with rest alone.

Burnout is not the same as stress. Stress is short term – you feel it, you get through it, you recover. Burnout is longer term. Rest doesn’t fix it. You stop being able to bounce back.

Symptoms look like:

  • Physical — persistent fatigue, disrupted sleep, body aches, getting ill more frequently, no energy even after rest.
  • Mental — inability to concentrate, forgetfulness, mental fog, feeling detached or going through the motions.
  • Emotional — apathy, irritability, feeling hopeless or helpless, loss of joy and motivation.

Typical causes of burnout:

  • Feeling Overloaded — doing too much for too long, unable to stop even when your body is saying no.
  • Feeling Under-challenged — disconnected and apathetic. Boredom. The meaning has gone. You find yourself asking “what’s the point?”
  • Neglected your own needs — losing yourself in the process. Quietly disappearing. Going through the motions. Ignoring your deeper wants.

Most people experience a combination of all three — often without realising it has a name.

Left unaddressed burnout doesn’t resolve on its own. The exhaustion deepens. The disconnection becomes normal. Over time it can develop into chronic fatigue, anxiety or physical illness – conditions that take significantly longer to recover from. The body will find its own way to make you stop.

Who can benefit from this coaching?

Burnout can affect anyone but it is more common in women. And certain personality traits are more commonly seen in people who experience burnout and chronic fatigue.

  • You push through exhaustion and override your body’s signals until you crash
  • You hold yourself to very high standards and are quietly self-critical
  • You put others’ needs first and find it hard to say no without guilt
  • You need certainty and feel anxious when things feel out of control

  • You suppress difficult emotions – grief, shame, anger – rather than feel them
  • You have neglected your own deeper needs for so long you’ve lost touch with what they are

The suppression of emotions plays a significant role in how chronic stress accumulates in the body. When we don’t allow ourselves to feel, the body eventually finds its own way to make us stop.

This is not a character flaw. It is a pattern. And patterns can change.

You don’t need to have the perfect words or know exactly what you want. That’s part of the process. All that’s needed is curiosity, openness and a willingness to listen to what arises.

What is Somatic Renewal Coaching and how is it different?

Somatic Renewal Coaching is my own integrative approach weaving together body-orientated coaching, somatic practice and creative arts therapy into a single coherent way of working.

Most traditional coaching models focus on mindset, goals and cognitive processes – working primarily with thoughts, beliefs and behaviours. Somatic Renewal Coaching is different because it brings the body into the conversation.

We work with the whole of you – not just what you think, but what you feel, sense and experience on a deeper embodied level. We listen to the signals of your nervous system, your emotions, your physical sensations and your energy.

The word renewal is intentional. It speaks to the kind of transformation that doesn’t happen on the surface – the kind that asks you to go inward, to sit with what’s been buried and to emerge more wholly yourself.

Not a quick refresh. A genuine beginning again.

What’s the difference between you being a coach and a guide?

In Somatic Renewal Coaching the client is always the expert – you know yourself, your body and your experience better than anyone. My role is to hold space for that wisdom to surface. I follow what’s alive for you. Your body leads.

But I also bring something more.

When we work together, especially over time – I begin to see what you may not yet be able to see from inside your own experience. Patterns. Root causes. The thread that runs beneath everything. The bigger picture of how you got here and what needs to shift.

Think of it this way. You are walking through a forest and can only see the trees immediately around you. I can see the whole forest – where you came from, where you are and where the path leads. I don’t drag you down the path. I walk beside you and occasionally say “do you see that pattern over there? What does your body say about that?”

The wisdom is always yours. The seeing is mine.

This is what I mean when I say – you are the expert and I am the guide. Two things held together. Neither cancels the other out.

In the multi-session packages this guiding capacity deepens. Over time I bring my lived experience, my intuitive ability to read patterns and your Human Design chart as a practical lens – helping you understand not just where you are, but how you are naturally wired to move forward.

What results can I expect?

Every session is led by what’s alive for you in the moment – what you’re feeling, facing or curious to explore. Together we’ll clarify what you’re hoping for and why it matters, then work with your body’s whole system to uncover what wants to be known for that outcome to become possible.

What you experience will be unique to you but here’s what clients consistently notice:

  • A sense of being truly seen, met and understood
  • A safety in the body that many haven’t felt in a long time
  • Clarity around something that felt foggy or stuck
  • A quiet but unmistakeable shift in how they feel, how they’re holding something or how they see themselves

Working together over time and with consistency the deeper changes emerge. You begin to understand your nervous system, loosen long-standing patterns and rebuild trust in yourself. The exhaustion starts to lift. The boundaries get stronger. The voice gets clearer.

What does working together look like and does online really work?

Sessions are held online via Google Meet – accessible wherever you are in the world. Face-to-face sessions are also available on request in Edinburgh. All you need is a quiet space, a device I can see you clearly on from the waist up and enough room to move if the session calls for it.

This work asks one thing above everything else – that you show up. Not perfectly. Not resourced. Just honestly. Everything else follows from that. To get the most from our time together I ask that you:

  • Show up on time and check your tech in advance
  • Have space to move — sessions may include gentle movement or body-based practices
  • Complete a simple coaching agreement before we begin
  • Let me know as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule
  • Arrive with an open mind and a genuine willingness to listen to what arises
